    G Series

    Based on our late model large case GM housings, the tried-and-true G series of alternators are our best sellers. Reasonably priced and very durable, these units feature solid copper custom rectifiers for great durability. Oversize press fit diodes and premium bearings ensure long life even in hot or abusive conditions.

    Installation Notes:

    This unit comes equipped with an adapter bracket to allow easy installation of a large case alternator on a 2.2L GM SOH engine. This alternator / bracket combo kit will require a slightly longer drive belt for proper belt tension, available at any local autoparts store.

    Worked good for about a year. the plastic housing on the back of casing was vibrating making a noise on deceleration. took it off. only last me 13 months before alternator started acting up and voltage fluctuating. Would over charge to 16.5v at 3k rpms and would almost die at idle with 12v. Should’ve bought off mechman website instead of alternator outlet website.
