Before you order
A charging upgrade works as a system. Adding amperage without upgrading the cable between the alternator and the battery moves the bottleneck rather than removing it, and adding batteries without adding charging capacity does the same thing in reverse.
The usual order is: alternator sized to your actual load, battery capacity to match, then the Big 3 cable upgrade so the current can actually get where it needs to go. Our alternator information blog covers sizing, wiring and installation in more depth.
